From 29 July to 5 August 2025, the 16th edition of the Aquileia Film Festival will begin: cinema, archaeology, experts will take turns on stage for six evenings in a program full of events.
The international archaeological film festival is organized by the Aquileia Foundation with Archeologia Viva and Firenze Archeofilm. The event is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, the Municipality of Aquileia and the Basilica of Aquileia.
The public will be asked to vote for the winner of the Aquileia Prize, a mosaic created by the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli which will be delivered on the evening of Friday 1 August; the films in competition were chosen from among the best of international film production, with an archaeological and historical theme.
