St Mark’s Day

San Marco (St. Mark) is celebrated on April 25^th. According to tradition, St. Mark was sent by St. Peter to preach the Gospel in Aquileia. Here he founded the first Christian community and met Ermagora. Enthralled by his deep faith, St. Mark invited him to Rome and presented him to St. Peter, who consecrated him first Bishop of Aquileia.
